Whether you are planning a wedding reception, birthday party, corporate event, family reunion, or any other type of celebration, a professional mobile disc jockey will bring good times and great music to your event. We will provide dancing music tailored to you and your guests and we will work hard to make sure everyone has a great time at your event. Most DJ companies are more cost effective than live entertainment and have a greater selection of music that can be customized for your event.
Does DJ Sound Productions & Entertainment use professional equipment?
Yes, and here's the scoop. Our professional audio & sound equipment is second to none! There is a tremendous difference in quality and reliability between home stereo equipment and professional duty sound equipment. With professional equipment, you will be reasonably assured of quality sound and reliable operation. If you like, ask any disc jockey company the make of their equipment. If you recognize the names, and they are available at consumer electronics stores like Best Buy and Circuit City, they are using equipment designed for home use and not professional use. Even though our DJ's are skilled and have full knowledge in sound and audio equipment, most of the time we have professional sound tech's set up the equipment so that it gets done right the first time. If a problem were to occur, we usually can take care of the problem without interruption of the music or even anyone ever noticing. We provide amazing HD sound thru impressive looking, sounding, & performing pro audio equipment. [TOP]
What do you mean by "customizable" sound systems?
Most DJ companies have their one "typical" sound system. At DJ Sound Productions & Entertainment, we found this to be a problem, a BIG problem. The reason this is a problem is because their systems may be under powered or over powered for the venue, crowd, and type of event because they have a "one size fits all" system. If they are DJ'ing for a large crowd, they have to crank it up to throw the sound out for the listeners farther away. This results in distorted sound and poor equipment performance, and eventually leads to equipment failure. For smaller crowds, the sound can't easily be controlled resulting in friends and family running away from the speakers because of higher frequencies and loud uncontrollable music. We have a range of system types that can be specifically customized for your event for maximum efficiency, performance, and listener preferences. [TOP]
Can you get extra music selections for my event?
Of course! Most DJ Companies have a list that you get to choose from. We also do, but it doesn't stop there. Why limit you to "just a list"? Whether it be 1000 or 15,000 songs, if there isn't those few special songs listed that you need to make your event as special as possible, would it be worth it? If there is any extra music you need to make your night as memorable as possible, we'll get it. We are fortunate to have these resources to legally obtain music that no other DJ company can provide. What is your interactivity level?
We can have a reserved, medium, and high interactivity levels.
Yes. Upon a signed contract, a $10.00 booking fee is required and non refundable, unless otherwise noted. The reason for this non-refundable fee is because we never "double book". Most DJ companies double book so that if you do cancel, or they choose to cancel on you, they have a "back up plan". This leaves you with the possibility of not having the hired DJ company show up. We never double book. If you cancel, we may not be able to book other events and therefore not be compensated for the service of only booking your event and having no other conflicts with our schedule. [TOP]
Can you play past the "scheduled" time?
For most events, you bet! The start time is solely up to you and your specific needs for your event. The scheduled time guarantees the DJ for that time period. The typical end time is 12:00am. If there is extra time requested, it will be up to the discretion of the DJ whether to continue past the contracted time. On most all occasions, this is not an issue. It must be approved by the on duty manager of the establishment you are in. They may or may not charge for extra time in that establishment. Any extra play from the DJ past 12:00am (if not previously noted) will require a tip of $35/half hour. We pay our DJ till 12:00am and the tip for playing after that is directly theirs and never collected by DJ Sound Productions. [TOP]
Do we need to arrange for any extras for you at the event?
Just the table and table decorations. This is so that the table we use matches the decor of your event. We do however need at least two outlets within 25 feet of our set-up area. There should be and adequate dance area to accommodate the number of your guests. [TOP]
What will the DJ's wear to my event?
We are a elite professional DJ company. But on some occasions with theme parties, we are required to wear the attire accordingly. For example, the summer of 2008, we were hired to do a country theme wedding. The bride and groom have requested we be dressed accordingly (country western attire). For formal events, formal attire will be worn. For more relaxed occasions, khakis and a tasteful dress shirt can be worn. All these details will be covered upon our consultation. [TOP]
What kind of music do you have?
The correct question is, "what kind of music don't you have?" We have all types of music from alternative to top 40. We do take requests. Of course they must be tasteful in choice. The music requested will be played when it fits into the line up. Typically, we will try and get it in as soon as possible. With over 100,000 songs in our grasp, it shouldn't be hard to find the perfect selection of music that is guaranteed to please your guests. [TOP]
Hey! Who Is that second DJ with you?
If needed, we may bring no more than one other experienced person to aid in the success of the event. As we look at it, the main DJ needs to focus on your event, crowd interaction, and his music. Sometimes the extra DJ may handle the requests, get additional music, make errands that are needed to make the night go as planned; they are invaluable as an assistant to the DJ when needed. [TOP]
Is there and extra charge for this second professional DJ?
No. In fact, they are paid out of our check, not yours. In the initial pricing, we NEVER pass on the price of the second DJ/assistant to you. This is our guarantee of quality service provided for your event. [TOP]
We have converted all our music over to our high performance computer systems. Why and what’s the difference? It’s simple. Less clutter of compact discs, more reliable, no scratched and skipping cd's, 100% better HD sound, no time laps between songs; the list goes on and on. If the music stops, so does the excitement. The computer systems provide non-stop entertainment. The DJ's are very well trained and are required to use the music programs for 6 months before going out in the field. Contrary to what some others may say about computer systems, we have taken drastic measures and invested many dollars to make sure that they stay up and running at all times. Compact discs can still be played at your event with the computer systems. The benefits are extremely overwhelming compared to traditional cd's. Why don't you have any package deals?
Do you really want the DJ at your event to be limited because you didn't go with their expensive "gold" pricing package? Its obvious that they are only in it for the money, not for you! At DJ Sound Productions & Entertainment, we don't have "levels" or "package pricing". Again, we love what we do. We give 110% ALL the time. Our performance will NEVER be based on how much you have to pay. You'll get top quality, elite DJ services at one price. We'd really hate to tell the DJ that they can't be the best they could be because the client didn't buy the "best" package deal. You always get the very best right from the start! [TOP]

For every event, EVERYTHING! This includes any and ALL the travel, the industries best pro audio HD sound equipment, wireless microphones, all the state of the art LED intelligent lighting, any extra music, and what ever else it takes to make your event just the way you dreamed about. You choose the start time up till 12:00am at NO additional charge! Entertainment companies only charge what they are worth. A low end entertainment company with not a whole lot of experience, lower quality equipment, knows they can't charge a higher amount because services will be of lower quality than what is needed to make your night nothing short of amazing. Higher end companies do charge a bit more because they can provide the higher level of service, professionalism, talent, experience, & equipment you expect from an entertainment company to do the job right the first time since you only get one chance. For weddings, will you do ceremonies?
Yes we do. Ceremonies are a very intricate, detailed event. Ceremonies are not included in the pricing because of the time and detail that it takes to create a successful and memorable ceremony. If a ceremony is on location of the reception and no extra equipment will be necessary, the charge would be $125 to additional regular prices below. If the ceremony is not on location of the reception site, the extra charge would be $295 and that will include extra equipment if necessary. Either you can pick out your ceremony music or we can provide music for you at your request. Ceremony music MUST be in 10 days before the event date. There is no time limit for ceremonies either. Whether it be a wedding, school event, corporate party, there are many variables that go into pricing. Our typical Pricing for about 99% of weddings is now $795, was $1295 previously. This pricing will cover ALL wedding events taking place in the entire state of Minnesota, western Wisconsin, Eastern North Dakota & South Dakota. If your event is not a wedding, please e-mail us or give us a call for pricing as hours, locations, time, and different requirements vary. Most non wedding events range from $295 to $650. Destination weddings starting at $1495. We do work with people on pricing in special event situations. We'll NEVER pull or ask for your credit to book with us.
